Palestinians continue to be exposed to the Israeli Occupation Forces’ merciless and relentless bombing and ground assaults on Gaza just a few weeks before Eid Al Fitr, which marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan.

Despite the recent adoption of a UN Security Council resolution calling for a ceasefire for the remaining period of the holy month, the Israeli forces have continued to target civilians throughout Gaza.

The latest statistics from the Gaza Health Ministry indicate that Israel has killed 32,623 Palestinians since it launched its savage war on Gaza in October of last year.

The Israeli occupation forces’ devastating and bloody war has also caused injuries among at least 75,092 Palestinians, the ministry deplored.

In the past 27 hours, the ministry added, 71 people were killed by Israeli occupation forces while 112 others were wounded.

The devastating and tragic situation in Gaza is unfortunately set to continue as Israel ignores global outrage and dismisses the latest UN resolution calling on the IOF to stop their aggression amid alarming famine and the collapse of the health system in the war-torn region.

UNRWA  chief Philippe Lazzarini said today that the International Criminal Court’s decision to issue new measures on Thursday reflects the catastrophic humanitarian situation in Gaza.

Recalling that the situation is man-made and worsening, Lazzarini emphasized the court’s decision to demand that Israel should take immediate action to alleviate the dire humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

“The order calls on the State of Israel to cooperate with the United Nations to facilitate the delivery of urgently needed humanitarian aid to Gaza,” Lazzarini said, emphasizing that bold action “cannot  wait any longer.”
