Rabat – A new weather alert indicates that strong gusts of wind with dust storms ranging between 75 to 90 kilometers are expected to continue until Sunday.
The General Directorate of Meteorology (DMN) said on Friday that this weather will affect the provinces of Figuig, Taourirt, Midelt, Azilal, Ouarzazate, Bouleman, Tinghir and Guercif from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m today.
The same weather will concern Sefrou, France, Khenifra, Beni Mellal, Tanger-Assilah, Fahs Anjra, and Tetouan.
Strong gusts of wind with dust storms are also expected in the provinces of Fahs Anjra, Tanger Assilah, Figuig, Boulemane, Midelt, Ifrane, and Khenifra from Saturday 8 a.m. until Sunday 6 p.m.
The same weather will affect Beni Mellal, Tinghir, Errachidia, Zagora, Ouarzazate, Azilal, Al Haouz, and Chichaoua.
On Thursday, Morocco’s Motorway Company issued a press release recommending drivers in several provinces to exercise caution and inquire about traffic conditions before traveling.
This comes following a weather alert that forecasts strong gusts of wind with dust storms in different provinces in the Oriental, in central Morocco, a s well in the North.
