Rabat- As they concluded today their slogan-unveiling meeting in the Portuguese capital of Lisbon,  the FIFA World Cup 2030 Organizing Committee announced the appointment of four Moroccan stars as ambassadors for the prestigious tournament.

The list includes Noureddine Naybet, Achraf Hakimi, Yassine Bounou, and Ghizlane Chebaak, who will join the ranks of esteemed football figures like Cristiano Ronaldo and Iniesta.

Expressing his gratitude for the honor, one of the appointed ambassadors commented: “I am thankful for being chosen as an ambassador for the 2030 World Cup, hosted by Morocco, Spain, and Portugal. Having played in all three nations in my career, I feel a deep connection to each of them.”

He expressed his hope to see the first-ever World Cup to be jointly organized on European and African soil prove to be one of the best ever, saying that the historical and geopolitical ties between the two continents constitute a perfect recipe for an exciting, unprecedented World Cup.

The three host nation’s meeting in Lisbon also witnessed the unveiling of the tournament’s slogan, “Yalla Vamos 2030,” which translates to “let’s go” in Arabic and Spanish, embodying the spirit of unity and anticipation for the forthcoming event.

After the meeting, Fouzi Lekjaa, President of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, stressed that the common goal was the organization of the most remarkable FIFA World Cup in history in cooperation with Morocco’s allies Spain and Portugal.

One of the main goals of the three host countries is to create a unique event that combines sport with the principles of shared, universal values such as solidarity and hospitality, he stressed.
