The singer was scheduled to perform a concert this evening at the Megarama Theater in Casablanca tonight.

Several artists took to social media to mourn the death of Cherif, including iconic singer Latifa Rafat.

“You were indeed a true friend, a true brother, and a true support. We were supported to meet today at your concert in Casablanca, but we do not object to the will of Allah,” the Rafat posted.
