Marrakech – The predicted start date of Ramadan 2024 in Jordan is March 12 according to the Director of International Center (IAC).
According to Ammon News, Director of IAC Mohammed Shawkat Odeh said that sighting the crescent moon on Sunday, March 10 will not be possible anywhere in the Arab and Islamic world.
Therefore, Jordan will be among the Arab countries that will celebrate the first day of Ramadan on March 12.
Meanwhile, Jordan news said that many Islamic countries expect Ramadan to start on March 11.
“Fasting in the Kingdom might last 13 hours and 15 minutes, possibly extending to 14 hours towards the end,” the news outlet added.
Ramadan holds immense cultural and spiritual significance for Muslims across the globe.
In anticipation of this sacred month, Muslim communities in Jordan and beyond make special arrangements, eagerly awaiting the sighting of the new moon to confirm the onset of Ramadan.
