Rabat – The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) commended Morocco’s significant role in countering the aggressive policies of the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) in Al Quds.
In a special meeting held in Jeddah today, the OIC reiterated its appreciation for the Jerusalem Committee, led by Mohammed VI, for its steadfast efforts to preserve the identity, legal status, and cultural heritage of Al Quds amid Israel’s ongoing aggression on Palestine.
The exceptional gathering of the OIC Foreign Ministers Council also highlighted the crucial contributions of Bayt Mal Al Qods Acharif Agency in safeguarding the sanctity of Jerusalem and supporting its inhabitants.
The agency spearheads the implementation of impactful programs aimed at boosting socio-economic development and cultural preservation in the holy city.
In addition, discussions during the meeting addressed the current situation in Gaza and the city of Rafah, emphasizing the urgent need for international solidarity and support for the Palestinian communities who are facing a devastating humanitarian crisis.

Despite the international outcry against Israel’s plans to invade Rafah on February 12, a border town sheltering 1.4 million displaced people in southern Gaza, the IOF have continued to carry out air and sea attacks on the area.
As of March 5, Israel’s ongoing brutal aggression has claimed the lives of over 30,500 Palestinians, with the majority of casualties recorded among unarmed civilians, including children.
Representing Morocco at the high-level meeting was Foreign Affairs Minister, Nasser Bourita. Speaking at the event, Bourita underscored Morocco’s unwavering support for Palestinian rights and its active engagement in regional efforts to support the Palestinian cause.
The meeting, hosted by Saudi Arabia, reflects the commitment of Islamic nations to uphold the resolutions adopted during the joint Arab-Islamic Summit held in Riyadh last November.
The gathering serves as a platform for collective action and coordination among OIC member states in addressing pressing issues affecting the Muslim world.
The organization announced that its General Secretariat is currently working on establishing a legal observatory to document heinous Israeli war crimes against Palestinians, alongside a media observatory that monitors these violations and publicizes them.
On Monday, Morocco strongly condemned the IOF’s brutal killing of Palestinians lining up to receive humanitarian aid at what is now being coined as the “Flour Massacre.”
Morocco expressed its “absolute rejection of violations” of international humanitarian law, and called for an “independent and transparent investigation into this abhorrent act and for punishing those responsible.”
