Rabat – Morocco’s Atlas Lions triumphed over Libya in the AFCON futsal semifinals today, securing their place in the finals and keeping their hopes alive for another continental trophy.

The highly anticipated match, held at the Moulay Abdellah Sports Complex in Rabat, saw Morocco’s unbeaten streak in this year’s AFCON competition continue as they displayed a dominant performance against the determined Libyan squad.

From the opening whistle, Morocco demonstrated their strength by controlling possession and creating numerous scoring opportunities.

While Libya exerted pressure, the Atlas Lions remained disciplined and executed their game plan effectively.

Despite Libya’s resilience, it was Morocco who broke the deadlock thanks to the team’s strong attacking line.

The first half of the match ended with Morocco taking the lead with a 4-0 result.

In the second half of the match, they continued to assert their dominance with precision passing, clinical finishing, and solid defensive organization.

The Atlas Lions’ relentless pressure paid off as they secured a convincing 6-0 victory.

With today’s win,, Morocco not only advances to the AFCON futsal finals but also secures their qualification for the Futsal World Cup, set to take place later this year in Uzbekistan.

Following the match, coach Hicham Dguig expressed to the press his satisfaction with his team’s performance while emphasizing the importance of remaining focused in the upcomingfinal clash.
