Rabat – A recent report by Insider Monkey, an investment website that tracks corporate insiders and hedge funds, has ranked Morocco among 15 cheap countries to visit with family.
Morocco is ranked 8 in the list, with Insider Monkey, suggesting that a one week trip for two people would cost $935.
“Morocco is one of the most budget-friendly travel destinations,” the report said, adding that the North African country ranks 14th on Insider Monkey’s list of the 20 countries with the cheapest cost of living for US citizens.
Insider Monkey also ranks Morocco in its last of the “most popular countries.”
Morocco has been attracting millions of tourists from various countries around the world. . Last year, it attracted at least 14.5 million tourists, generating a tourism revenue of $10.5 billion, representing a 34% increase over 2022.
Reports from several renowned magazines and news websites featured Morocco among the best destinations for international tourists worldwide.
In January, Bloomberg featured Morocco among the top 24 travel destinations for 2024.
CNN also highlighted Morocco as one of the top 24 must-visit destinations for the year 2024.
“Long-time favorites among travelers due to their diverse landscapes and spectacular architecture, Morocco has rebounded with determination after a devastating earthquake in September of last year,” CNN wrote in January.
Insider Monkey’s affordable countries list also features Egypt as the top cheapest country for family trips.
The report also listed Egypt as topping their list for the countries with the cheapest cost of living for US citizens.
The second cheapest country for family trips isIndia, while Serbia and Colombia are ranked third and fourth, respectively.
Ethiopia is the fifth in the list, while Poland and Russia are the sixth,and seventh, respectively.
South Africa ranks 15th, behind Romania (14th), Hungary (13th), Panama (11th), Albania (10th), and Bulgaria (9th).
