Marrakech – According to a report from the Bahrain News Agency (BNA), Eid Al Fitr 2024 is scheduled to take place on April 10 in Bahrain.
The news comes as the moon is confirmed invisible tonight, and therefore the first day of Shawwal– marking the end of Ramadan, is on April 10.
Bahraini citizens are set to enjoy a three-day holiday, commencing on Wednesday, April 10, and extending through Friday, April 12.
Several nations, including Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), are set to observe Eid Al Fitr on Wednesday, joining in the global celebration of this significant occasion.
As outlined by the Wego Blog, in Bahrain, the Eid al-Fitr festivities kick off with the Eid prayer.
Differing from customs in certain Middle Eastern nations, it’s not solely the men, but rather the entire family, who ready themselves to attend their local mosque after partaking in a light breakfast.
The spirit of Eid reaches its pinnacle with the tradition of donning new attire and the fragrant ambiance created by the lighting of incense, preceding the journey to the mosque.
These gatherings offer a wonderful chance for individuals to reconnect, exchange well-wishes, and extend blessings to their neighbors, enhancing the communal bonds that characterize this joyous occasion.
Traditionally, the family convenes at the Al Bait Al Oud, which means the family house, gathering around a meticulously set table to enjoy a lavish Eid breakfast together.
They partake in joyous social gatherings, often kicking off with a delightful morning breakfast featuring an array of delectable foods and sweets.
Among the favored dishes is “ghoozi,” a delectable combination of rice, lamb, and eggs, as well as baklava, which is a sweet indulgence bathed in honey.
