Rabat – The government majority presidency expressed its satisfaction with what it described as a “very honorable” midterm assessment of the government’s actions.
According to a statement issued on Friday, the assessment was initiated by the Head of Government and is set to be presented before Parliament following the opening of the April session, as outlined in Article 101 of the Constitution.
The assessment was led by Aziz Akhannouch, President of the National Rally of Independents (RNI), and joined by Fatima Ezzahra El Mansouri from the Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM) and Nizar Baraka from the Istiqlal Party (PI).
The presidency plans to start a public debate on the assessment, both within the parliamentary institution and across various media platforms.
Highlighting the positive strides made by the government, the presidency underscored its commitment to implementing economic reforms and fortifying the social state.
In addition, it emphasized the importance of cooperation with parliamentary majority groups in legislation and governmental oversight.
The statement explains that the presidency’s readiness to engage with proposals from parliamentary groups aligns with its decision to establish a mechanism for reviewing and evaluating such initiatives.
It aims to collaborate on proposals consistent with the government’s agenda and orientations.

The presidency equally reiterated the collective determination of the three parties to coordinate efforts and cooperate within coalitions responsible for local, provincial, and regional governance. The efforts aim to ensure the effective implementation of public policies in alignment with the principles of proximity and efficiency.
While acknowledging ongoing social dialogues between the government and key trade unions, the presidency expressed optimism for fruitful outcomes.
It reiterated support for forthcoming major reform initiatives across institutional, legal, and social domains, aimed at promoting good governance and social stability.
The presidency voiced its support for Rachid Talbi Alami’s bid for the presidency of the House of Representatives during the latter part of the current legislative term.
The statement was issued following a meeting attended by prominent political figures including Rachid Talbi Alami and Abdeljabbar Rachidi.
The meeting featured discussions on Morocco’s political and economic landscape and outlined strategies to enhance cooperation between the government and parliamentary majority components in legislative and oversight functions.
