Rabat – Spanish hospitality giant Hotusa has announced on Tuesday plans to open three new hotels in Morocco’s financial capital; Casablanca, Morocco.
The news marks Hotusa’s entry into the North African market, with ambitions to tap into the region’s growing tourism industry.
Hotusa’s hotel chain Eurostars Hotel Company will oversee the construction and management of the three establishments, slated to open between 2024 and 2025.
The hotels, branded under Eurostars and Exe, are set to cater to both business and leisure travelers, offering a blend of luxury and comfort.
The first of the trio, Eurostars Casa Anfa, is set to welcome guests in the autumn of next year.
Eurostars Californie will be the second facility to open and is scheduled for a late 2024 debut.
The third facility, Exe Zerktouni, is slated to open its doors by mid-2025. Together, the three establishments will add a total of 251 rooms to Casablanca’s hospitality landscape.
In the press release, Hotusa’s President, Amancio López, expressed enthusiasm about the company’s upcoming ventures in Morocco, highlighting the country’s significance as the twentieth destination for Eurostars Hotel Company.
“These openings in Casablanca mark the initial phase of our expansion plan in North Africa, a region of strategic importance alongside Western Europe, the United States, and Latin America,” remarked Lopez.
In recent months, a number of hotel giants have announced plans to either open hotels for the first time or strengthen their presence ahead of the country’s hosting of the 2030 FIFA World Cup in a joint bid with Spain and Portugal.
After attracting 14.5 million visitors in 2023, Morocco aims to welcome 17 million tourists by 2026 and 26 million by 2030.
