Rabat – Today marks a decisive game for Moroccan club RS Berkane, who will play the second leg of their CAF Confederation Cup final against Egyptian giants Zamalek.
The game will take place at 6 p.m Moroccan time at the Cairo International Stadium.
RS Berkane took the lead in the first leg played in their local stadium last week on Sunday when they defeated Zamalek 2-1.
A win or a draw would see RS Berkane lifting their third CAF Confederation trophy.
Fans seeking to watch the much-anticipated match can see it through beIN Sports Max 10.
Moroccan television channel Arriyadia will also air the game.
RS Berkane head coach Mouin Chaabani has emphasized his squad’s readiness, noting that as a manager “you must have a plan A and plan B, and be prepared for any unexpected events during the game, such as a red card or an injury to a player.”
He added in the pre-match press conference: “RS Berkane has the necessary abilities to manage the game effectively. We have shone in this competition in recent years, and we have a group of international players who are accustomed to playing against top teams in Morocco with large fan bases.”
Meanwhile, Zamalek coach Jose Gomes recently suggested that his team was superior to RS Berkane.
Chaabani did not respond to his rival coach’s comments, but acknowledged that he was surprised by his brazen sense of superiority.
“I am surprised by this statement. We won the first leg against Zamalek, but it is important to respect the opponent,” Chaabani stressed.
