Marrakesh – At the opening ceremony of GITEX Africa today, Holmarcom Group unveiled AI INSTITUTE, a data and AI training center to be headquartered in Casablanca.
This institute’s main aim will be to provide certified and flexible programs, with a mission to nurture crucial skills for navigating today’s fast-moving and tech-driven professional world.
Microsoft, a global leader in information technology, formalized its contribution to the AI Institute by signing today a strategic partnership agreement with Holmarcom Group, according to a press release shared with Morocco World News.
The two partners share a common vision and aim to provide training programs tailored to the needs of the Moroccan market and aligned with the latest technological advancements, the statement suggested.
“With artificial intelligence currently being one of the main drivers of growth and performance both professionally and economically, it is essential to acquire the latest skills in the field to remain competitive and successfully address the challenges of the 21st century,” said Karim Chiouar, CEO of Holmarcom Group.

Microsoft’s expertise and know-how guarantee quality and excellence, the press statement added, stressing that its association with Casablanca’s AI Institute will be instrumental in providing advanced training, internationally recognized certifications, and privileged access to the latest AI technologies and solutions.
In addition, the institute will collaborate with DynIT (Dynamic Information Technology) to benefit from the expertise and skills of Microsoft-accredited consultant trainers.
Salima Amira, Country Manager for Microsoft Morocco, highlighted that this partnership presents a unique opportunity to boost Morocco’s digital capabilities and foster local innovation.
“Skill development is the cornerstone of building a robust Moroccan AI sector and the key to leveraging global transformation and harnessing the potential of the new AI economy,” she said. “We are confident that this collaboration will allow us to have a significant impact on a large scale.”
The training programs at AI Institute are designed to cover various AI-related fields and cater to all skill levels, offering maximum flexibility through a hybrid model of in-person and online sessions.
Certified by Microsoft, these courses aim to pave the way for new professional opportunities and equip economic players with new skills to foster an innovation-friendly environment.
The AI Institute will provide personalized training support for businesses and will house an examination center, offering official validation through recognized certifications, the press statement concluded.
