Rabat – Morocco is set to experience scorching temperatures, thunderstorms, and strong winds across various regions on Saturday, according to the General Directorate of Meteorology (GDM).
High temperatures are set to affect Tadla, southern Rif, southeastern areas, and inland parts of the southern provinces. Temperatures in these areas will be relatively high, with a potential heatwave in some regions.
Low clouds accompanied by localized fog patches are expected to form over the coasts during the night and morning, with some local drizzle along the central coasts during the night.
GDM equally warned of local thunderstorms, with a possibility of hail in the High and Middle Atlas regions, the southeast, and the east of the country.
In addition, duststorms are expected in the southern provinces and southeastern regions.
Moderately strong wind gusts are expected in the central part of the country, the southeast, the Atlas, and the southern and southeastern regions.
The minimum temperatures will range from 24 to 29 degrees Celsius in the southeastern and eastern southern provinces, from 20 to 24 degrees in the coastal plains, the Mediterranean front, southern Rif, Saiss, Tadla plains, and the eastern region, and between 14 and 20 degrees in the rest of the areas.
Maximum temperatures will decrease in the northern and central regions and the northern parts of the southern provinces.
