Rabat – Sevilla FC has officially bid farewell to their Moroccan star-striker Youssef En-Nesyri, as confirmed in their recent statement.
The player is set to move to Turkiye’s Fenerbahçe for the next four seasons.
In an announcement coinciding with the team’s return to training, Sevilla FC acknowledged En-Nesyri’s departure, stating that “with the club’s permission, the Atlas Lion is absent as he finalizes his exit from the squad.”
According to reports from the sports publication Marca, En-Nesyri was slated to journey to Istanbul early this week for a medical evaluation to finalize his transfer.
Having received clearance, he is set to join Jose Mourinho’s squad for the upcoming four seasons.
Youssef En-Nesyri, a Moroccan professional football striker, earned his international debut in 2016 after representing his country’s youth teams at the under-20 level. He was selected for Morocco’s squads at the FIFA World Cups in both 2018 and 2022.
In 2020, En-Nesyri made a move from Leganes to Sevilla, signing a contract that extended until June 2025.
One of his notable achievements was when he scored a goal in a 3–0 win against Tanzania during the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2023, making him the first Moroccan player to score in four separate editions of the tournament.
He has also scored 25 goals in La Liga 2023, earning the title of the league’s top scorer.
