Mounir Nasraoui, father of Barcelona and Spain football star Lamine Yamal, was reportedly discharged from the hospital after being stabbed on Wednesday night.
Reports said Nasraoui was stabbed in a parking lot in Mataro, a town in northeastern Spain.
La Vanguardia reported that Nasraoui, a Moroccan national, was taken to Can Ruti hospital in Badalona with serious injuries.
However, later reports from various news sources confirmed that Nasraoui had been discharged and returned home.
According to La Razón, a leaked video allegedly shows Lamine Yamal’s father arguing with neighbors before the stabbing.
Lamine, who is active on social media, has not commented to confirm or deny the incident.
Nasraoui’s son, Lamine Yamal, recently made history as the youngest player to appear and score at Euro 2024, where Spain won the championship.
