Rabat – Morocco’s women’s national team is set to face France in an away friendly scheduled for Saturday, December 5. The game takes place at the Auguste Bonal Stadium in Sochaux, kicking off at 9:10 PM GMT.
Both squads will use this encounter to test squad depth and refine their game plans ahead of major upcoming competitions, most notably the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Brazil.
For both sides, the fixture offers a valuable opportunity to evaluate player readiness and fine-tune strategy ahead of official tournament play.
This upcoming test follows Morocco’s recent two-match friendly series against Uzbekistan on home soil.
In their most recent outing on Monday, October 12, the Atlas Lionesses played out a goalless draw at the El Barid Stadium in Rabat.
Prior to that scoreless draw, the Atlas Lionesses opened the series on a strong note by defeating Uzbekistan 3–1 in their first friendly last Friday.
The upcoming fixture comes on the heels of a managerial change within the Moroccan camp.
The Royal Moroccan Football Federation recently appointed French tactician Eric Blahic to lead the women’s national team, replacing Spaniard Jorge Vilda after he failed to secure the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations title.
Playing France gives Morocco a clear look at where they stand against one of the world’s best teams as they prepare for the 2027 World Cup.
