Rabat – Real Madrid midfielder Brahim Diaz spoke at the Forbes 30 Under 30 Festival in Madrid today, discussing his injury setback and ongoing recovery.
Diaz, who is expected to be sidelined for two to three months, expressed his determination to return to the pitch even stronger than before.
“Every day that passes means one less day until I return. I am focused on coming back even stronger and helping my team as soon as possible,” sports outlet MArca quoted him as saying.
His injury has been a setback for manager Carlo Ancelotti, who relied on Brahim as a key player, particularly given his impressive performances at the start of the season.
Brahim spoke about the challenges athletes face with injuries, describing them as “the worst part of football.” Yet he stressed the need to remain optimistic despite these difficulties, stating, “It’s hard not being able to play, but I am committed to my recovery.”
In his talk, Diaz emphasized the importance of hard work and patience, recalling his humble beginnings and the sacrifices he made for his football career.
He sustained a tear in the adductor longus muscle of his right leg during a match against Real Sociedad earlier this month. The injury was confirmed through an MRI scan.
Following his injury, he took to social media to express his feelings of sadness but also gratitude for the support from Real Madrid fans, stating, “It’s already one less day until I return.”
