Rabat — Recent incidents involving Royal Air Maroc (RAM) flights have been growing amid increased complaints among passengers.

From technical issues to lost luggage reports, the airline has been experiencing a notable increase in operational challenges.

The latest challenge took place on Saturday when an Embraer 190, CN-RGO registered aircraft operated by Royal Air Maroc collided with a flock of birds.

The incident took place while landing at Adolfo Suarez-Barajas Airport in Madrid. The situation caused significant damage to the flight’s cockpit.

Reports said Royal Air Maroc deployed a Boeing 737 airline to continue to operate the  Madrid-Casablanca flight.

Earlier this month, several RAM flights were affected by a technical issue at the Paris Orly airport in France.

The company has been facing widespread criticism from customers, with many expressing frustration over several issues.

The airline is known for having problems handling luggage, and has faced criticism by passengers on multiple accounts.

In August, passengers who took on a Casablanca-Manchester flight were frustrated after their luggage were stranded for days with little to no follow up due to a cockroach infestation in the aircraft’s hold.

The same month another RAM aircraft experienced a technical issue on a flight from Casablanca to New York, having to return after a crack appeared on the cockpit window.
