Disney’s Abandoned EPCOT Restaurant Has Temporarily Reopened

Marrakech – Some Disney parks are still home to abandoned buildings that Disney hasn’t reopened or repurposed.

These include the Voyage of the Little Mermaid in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, which is set to be replaced by a new Little Mermaid show, and Restaurant Marrakech in EPCOT.

While the Morocco pavilion restaurant has yet to welcome diners back, it has made a brief reappearance for a special event.

Restaurant Marrakesh in the Morocco pavilion of World Showcase may be closed as the restaurant it once was, but it’s not entirely off the radar.

Disney occasionally reopens it as a lounge, and right now, it’s being transformed into the Florida Blue Lounge for the “EPCOT Food and Wine Festival.”

However, many visitors are still eagerly awaiting the return of the full dining experience to this restaurant.

The restaurant serves up a mouthwatering array of Moroccan delights, including roast lamb, shish kebab, couscous, and chicken brochette.

It envelops its guests in a warm and dim ambiance, thanks to stained-glass chandeliers and intricate tile mosaics that evoke a sense of timeless elegance.

Diners can opt for à la carte favorites or embark on a culinary adventure with a feast featuring hearty meats, Moroccan pastries, and more.

For the little ones, there are kid-friendly options like chicken tenders, pasta, and hamburgers.

And for those aged 21 and beyond, the full bar offers tantalizing cocktails like the Casablanca Sunset, Sahara Splash, and Marrakech Express.

Set against the backdrop of a sultan’’s palace, the establishment also boasts exciting entertainment. In particular, belly dancers captivate guests with their spirited moves accompanied by vibrant live music.
