Rabat – Young Moroccan talent Madhi Bnamrhar clinched first place in the under-8 category at the “Youth Elite Scooter Championships,” a prestigious global event organized by UK skatepark Alley Adrenaline. The event took place on October 6 in Corby, England.
The Royal Moroccan Federation of Urban Sports (FRMSUSS) made the announcement today, stating that they are proud of the groundbreaking achievement for Morocco in freestyle scootering, called “scootjam.”
Scouted and supported by the FRMSUSS, the federation said Bnamrhar embodies the bright future of urban sports in Morocco. His triumph in this elite competition reflects his dedication and outstanding talent.
This victory is part of the FRMSUSS’s comprehensive strategy to discover and nurture young Moroccan talent and give them a chance to shine.
The federation is dedicated to promoting urban sports among Moroccan youth and ensuring robust representation for the country at major international competitions and seeks to leverage this win to boost the visibility of freestyle scootering in Morocco.
In the statement, the federation asserted that it remains committed to encouraging young athletes to participate in both national and international competitions to bolster Morocco’s presence in the global urban sports arena.
The federation also took to social media, expressing their pride in the Moroccan skater. “Congratulations to our athlete Madhi Benamrhar for securing first place in the Youth Elite Scooter Championships 2024 (under 8 years). We are proud of his commitment and look forward to witnessing his continued success.”
Joining Morocco in the competition were Australia, Canada, the US, Switzerland, France, Italy, and several other countries.
Alexander Rutkowski from the UK secured second place, while Jan Schroter Alba from Spain took home third place.
