Rabat – The inaugural “Prix Maroc Jeunesse” ceremony took center stage Friday evening in Rabat, celebrating innovative contributions by Morocco’s brightest young minds.
The event recognized achievements in five key categories: Scientific Research, Technological Innovation, Artistic and Cultural Creation, Volunteer Engagement, and Entrepreneurship.
Malak Ait Tamlihat claimed first prize in the Scientific Research category, followed by Ayoub El Imami and Mohamed Falah in second and third place.
Ali Khiyati led the Technological Innovation category, with Basma Benyihyati and Abdelkhaleq Hadani completing the podium.
The Artistic and Cultural Creation category saw Jad Harjan emerge as the winner, while Hind Naïra and Abdelali Zawer secured second and third place, respectively.
Yassine Chamekh topped the Volunteer Engagement category, ahead of Ismail Masoud and Youssef El Rahil.
In the Entrepreneurship category, Hamza Kroubi took the lead, with Reda Enainia and Larbi Mrani Aloui following closely behind.
Organized under the High Patronage of King Mohammed VI and spearheaded by the Ministry of Youth, Culture, and Communication, the initiative aims to nurture a culture of innovation and recognize youth excellence in Morocco.
Each category was adjudicated by a distinguished jury, including figures such as actress Latifa Ahrar and NASA scientist Kamal Ouedghiri.
Speaking at the event, Minister of Youth, Culture, and Communication Mohamed Mehdi Bensaid underscored the competition’s role in promoting youth empowerment and fostering national pride.
“This initiative showcases the extraordinary potential of our young people while reinforcing their commitment to shaping Morocco’s future,” Bensaid remarked.
Winners were awarded monetary prizes of 200,000 dirhams (approximately $20,000) for first place, 100,000 dirhams (approximately $10,000) for second, and 50,000 dirhams (approximately $5,000) for third.
