Rabat — Bilal El Khannouss and Lamine Yamal have ranked among the top 10 in the U-20 rankings, according to the International Federation of Football History & Statistics (IFFHS).
Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal topped the list, finishing first with a record-breaking 303 points, up from 4th place last year.
Yamal is already impressing in Spanish football at just 16 years old with his electric pace and technical skills, and he has quickly become one of the most talked-about young talents in Europe.
Meanwhile, El Khannouss, 19, has had a standout year. The Moroccan midfielder caught attention with his strong performances at Genk in Belgium, and was ranked 10th in the world.
After his move to Leicester City, he continued to impress.
El Khannouss also played a key role in helping Morocco’s Olympic team secure a bronze medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics. His stats speak for themselves: 7 goals and 8 assists in 32 appearances for Genk.
Bilal El Khannouss is a talented Moroccan midfielder who currently plays for Leicester, England after a $21-million summer move to KRC Genk.
He was born in Belgium but chose to represent Morocco internationally. He made his debut for the Moroccan national team during the 2022 World Cup and has since impressed with his performances.
