Morocco’s Abedali Zahidi is set to face the most difficult test of his career against kickboxing legend Marat Grigorian on Friday, December 20.
Zahidi and Grigorian will meet in a featherweight kickboxing contest inside Bangkok’s Lumpinee Stadium at ONE Championship show ONE Friday Fights 92.
The Moroccan opened his promotional account with a stunning knockout victory in a catchweight (71.6kg) Muay Thai contest against Myanmar’s Tun Min Aung at ONE Friday Fights 88 on November 22.
But the 25-year-old former Morocco, Arab, Africa, and IFMA world champion, who raised his overall professional record to 25-4 with his most recent win, faces the stiffest test of his career against Grigorian.
The 33-year-old Armenian icon is a multiple time world champion but has failed to capture the ONE Featherweight Kickboxing world title since joining ONE Championship.
Grigorian, whose promotional record stands at 4-2, only lost against current divisional champion Chingiz Allazov and interim title holder Superbon.
ONE Friday Fights 92 kicks off on Friday, December 20 at 1:30 PM (WET) and will be broadcast live via beIN SPORTS.
