Rabat – Casablanca police detained two individuals on Friday evening in the Anfa district for allegedly engaging in reckless and stunt driving that endangered public safety and property.
According to an official security source, police acted quickly after a video surfaced online showing the suspects performing dangerous stunts on public roads.
The video spread rapidly across social media and triggered widespread concerns among users. Many called for the individuals responsible to be held accountable, noting the risk such actions pose to pedestrians, other drivers, and public property.
Field operations conducted by the police led to the arrest of the two drivers and the seizure of their vehicles. A background check on the suspects revealed that one of them was already wanted nationwide for suspected involvement in financial and economic crimes.
The two vehicles have been impounded and transferred to the municipal depot. Meanwhile, the suspects are now under judicial investigation supervised by the competent public prosecutor’s office.
This investigation aims to uncover all details and circumstances surrounding the case, as well as identify and arrest other individuals involved in the reckless driving incident.
