Rabat — Israeli Occupation Forces’ (IOF) ongoing massacres continue amid a renewed push for a truce and potential ceasefire.

Palestinian news agency Wafa said today that the occupation forces committed five massacres of civilians across Gaza in the past 24 hours.

The massacres killed 88 people and injured 208. were injured.

According to Al Jazeera live updates, over 200 Palestinians were killed in just three days as the IOF continued their bombardment of Gaza.

The news outlet said the IOF bombed Gaza over 100 times in the past three days.

In addition to humanitarian damages, the IOF also continues to demolish buildings throughout the enclave.

The Palestinian Ministry of Islamic Affairs said IOF completely destroyed 815 mosques while 151 others were partially damaged.

Nineteen cemeteries were also destroyed, with “graves desecrated and bodies exhumed,” Wafa reported.

The destruction is not localized to places of worship for Muslims. According to the data three churches in Gaza were also targeted.

A last-ditch effort for ceasefire

A new series of ceasefire talks brokered by Qatar and Egyptian meditators took place on January 3.

According to reports, this new push is part of last-ditch efforts for US President Biden to strike a deal before leaving office later this month.

Biden’s administration has given billions of dollars to Israel since October 7, aiding Israel to commit genocide in Gaza and wreck havoc on the West Bank.

Since October 7, 2023, IOF killed at least 45,805 people, and left some 109,064 injured. The actual numbers are projected to be much higher as thousands of victims are still trapped under the rubble or scattered across the roads.
