Rabat – Canary Islands-based airline Binter has announced a promotion for flights between Agadir and the Canary Islands.
Starting at MAD 524 ($52) for round-trip journeys, these flights are set to operate between February 1 and June 30, the airline said in a statement.
It added that flights for these flights can be purchased until January 16, noting that it offers the discounted fare for round-trip bookings only.
Binter, along with several other airlines, have recently introduced new routes connecting Moroccan cities with international destinations. These include Ryanair, Air Arabia, United Airlines, and Norwegian Air Shuttle, among other airlines.
This expansion is part of a broader effort to increase accessibility to Morocco and enhance its appeal as a travel destination.
These new direct flights made Moroccan cities such as Agadir, Casablanca, and Marrakech easier to reach from locations across Europe and other parts of the world.
These new routes are expected to provide a boost to the Moroccan tourism sector.
Morocco’s National Tourism Office (ONMT) has actively pursued partnerships with airlines to further expand the country’s flight network. These collaborations are part of a strategic push to position Morocco as a must-visit destination for tourists worldwide.
ONMT’s efforts focus on attracting traditional European visitors as well as diversifying the tourist base by targeting markets in the Middle East, North America, and Asia.
In October, the tourism office announced a partnership with Play Airlines to launch the first direct flight linking Morocco to Iceland.
And in December, ONMT partnered with Norwegian Air Shuttle to connect Tangier and Copenhagen with a direct route starting May 2025.
The Moroccan tourism office has recently celebrated a remarkable, record-breaking year for the country’s tourism industry. Morocco welcomed 15.87 million tourists by the end of November, representing a 20% increase compared to the same period last year.
