The General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises, better known by its acronym CGEM, has announced launching the program “Generation AI: Boosting 1000 Moroccan SMEs” in cooperation with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the social networking site LinkedIn.

In a statement, CGEM said the initiative seeks to “accompany 1000 small and medium-sized Moroccan enterprises in the adoption of artificial intelligence (AI)” by offering them exclusive LinkedIn learning licenses.

Also as part of this initiative, CGEM and its partners want to “equip Moroccan entrepreneurs with the knowledge and skills necessary for better mastering the new opportunities offered by artificial intelligence, and consequently enhancing their competitiveness and productivity.”

The program notably proposes to rising entrepreneurs and startups a series of training modules on innovation, sustainability, and digital strategy, the statement noted, stressing that this part of the project offers individual, non-transferable licenses valid until September 2025.

Some of the partners that have joined forces with CGEM to maximize this program’s impact across the entire Moroccan entrepreneurial community include Technopark and the Moroccan Association of Women Entrepreneurs (AFEM).

Small and medium-sized enterprises play a very crucial role in promoting economic growth and innovation, something that Morocco has long recognized.

Through various initiatives like this CGEM project, the country has been offering numerous opportunities for interested businesses, from financial support to training programs that raise their competitiveness.

As the digital age continues to transform businesses throughout the world, Morocco is developing technical solutions that will position entrepreneurs at the forefront of this inevitable transformation.

Equipping SMEs with the necessary tools and knowledge to compete in today´s hyperreal digitalized world simply echoes that commitment, CGEM stressed in its statement.
