Rabat – Police in Nador thwarted a major attempt to distribute unlicensed alcoholic beverages yesterday, seizing 18,570 bottles in a targeted operation.
Acting on intelligence, the Anti-Gang Unit of the Regional Judicial Police raided a secret warehouse in the rural area of Selouane on Saturday, March 15.
The facility, hidden on the outskirts of Nador, stored a large stockpile of alcohol intended for illegal sale.
Officers confiscated the entire shipment of bottles of various brands and sizes.
Investigations continue under the supervision of the public prosecution to identify those involved, with authorities prioritizing the arrest of the warehouse owner.

Authorities seized 4,266 psychotropic pills of various types, three electronic scales, and cash believed to be proceeds from the illegal drug sales.
