Rabat – The Justice and Development Party’s (PJD) General Secretariat issued a new statement, condemning Israel’s genocidal war against armless Palestinian people in Gaza.
PJD warned that the recent resurgence of aggression came in a “blatant violation” of the ceasefire agreement and international law, noting that the airstrikes killed at least 400 Palestinians and injured several hundred.
Describing the latest aggression as one of the largest massacres carried out by the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF), PJD recalled that such crimes mainly affected children and women. Israel’s airstrikes effectively ended its ceasefire agreement with Hamas, putting Palestinians once again in imminent danger.
PJD said that it “strongly condemns the brutal Zionist aggression and its blatant violation of the ceasefire,” describing Israel as a “bloodthirsty, rogue, and criminal entity.”
The Moroccan party also took issue with the US administration’s policy, saying it is biased towards Israel.
“This contradicts the status of the United States as a mediator alongside Qatar and Egypt and what its new administration claims about seeking to end wars and establish peace globally.”
The party urged Morocco to act with “all its influence and respect to condemn the Zionist criminality,” urging the cabinet to take all initiatives to stop the genocidal war against Palestinians.
It has also renewed its calls to cancel all agreements with Israel and sever all diplomatic relations with the “criminal, treacherous entity that does not believe in peace.”
For PJD, Israel “can’t be trusted,” and they called on the Arab and Islamic world to take large-scale action, including a popular movement to stop the genocidal war and starvation that Palestinians have been facing.
In addition to its latest resurgence of hostilities, Israel has also ordered the closure of the Rafah border crossing between Gaza and Egypt, cutting off medical assistance for Palestinians.
Netanyahu’s government has already ordered a blockade on humanitarian aid at the start of the holy month of Ramadan when Muslims fast from dawn to sunset.
