Rabat — The fourth edition of northern Morocco’s Eco Triathlon in Tamuda Bay (TBET) wrapped up today, ending a weekend focused on inclusion, innovation, and sustainability.

The races, which took place in Morocco’s Martil, M’diq, and Fnideq, brought together over 800 triathletes from 20 countries as well as hundreds of spectators.

The event kicked off on Friday, with the opening of the TBET exhibition village, where visitors enjoyed entertainment and games. On Saturday, the atmosphere shifted with all the focus on the Olympic and 80-kilometer races.

The races took athletes through a scenic route along the coastal road and in the Rif mountains between the three cities, promoting both sports and putting northern Morocco’s tourism offerings on full display. Spectators watched in anticipation of the racers, but also could roam around the TBET village, which maintained a family-friendly atmosphere throughout the weekend, featuring eco-conscious exhibitors and activities for attendees of all ages.

Additionally, the organizers proudly assert that the race is 100% designed by women, in effort to promote gender inclusion in endurance sports.

The final day, Sunday, featured a high sprint as well as the JoalaTri races.
