PSG arrive in imperious form, having breezed past Real Madrid 4–0 in the semi-final following knockout wins over Bayern Munich and Inter Miami. Luis Enrique’s side also topped a group featuring Atlético Madrid and Seattle Sounders, despite a surprise defeat to Botafogo.
Meanwhile, Chelsea edged out Fluminense 2–0 in the last four, with João Pedro netting twice. The Blues had previously seen off Palmeiras and Benfica in the knockouts, and qualified from their group with wins over LAFC and ES Tunis, despite a setback against Flamengo.
Chelsea captain Reece James is pushing for a return to the starting XI after appearing from the bench against Fluminense. Midfielder Moisés Caicedo is a doubt after rolling his ankle in the semi-final.
Levi Colwill and Liam Delap are back from suspension, though Delap is expected to remain on the bench. João Pedro should keep his place up front, with Cole Palmer and Christopher Nkunku supporting in attack.
PSG are expected to name an unchanged side. Ousmane Dembélé, who scored in the semi-final, is likely to start again. Defenders Lucas Hernández and Willian Pacho remain suspended.
Score Prediction:
Chelsea have grown into the tournament but now face their toughest test. PSG are in sensational form and have not conceded in the knockout rounds. Unless the Blues produce something special, Paris look set to claim their first Club World Cup title.
