Spain will face Switzerland tonight in the Women’s European Championship quarter-final match in Bern.
The game will take place at Wankdorf stadium in Bern, Switzerland, starting at 8:00 p.m and will be broadcast live in Morocco on beIN Connect, and internationally via BBC.
Spain hope to keep up their winning streak in the ongoing European tournament and clinch the silverware for the third year in a row. After winning the 2023 Women’s World Cup and the 2024 UEFA Nations League, the in-form and intimidating Spanish squad remains the team to beat.
Spain qualified from the group stages with a 5-0 victory over Portugal in their first game, followed by a 6-2 win against Belgium to reach the quarter-finals, and then secured the top spot by beating Italy 3-1.
Spain dominated Group B by claiming nine points out of nine, and they topped the tournament’s scoring charts with 14 goals scored so far.
Spain are now aiming to secure a place in the semi-finals for the first time since 1997, after falling in the previous Women’s Euros.
Meanwhile, this is the first time that Switzerland has reached the tournament’s knockout rounds.
The Swiss squad finished second in Group A, following a narrow 2-1 defeat to Norway in their first group match, a 2-0 triumph over Iceland and a 1-1 draw against Finland.
Score Prediction
Spain’s strong attack may prove too much for the underdog Swiss team, but Switzerland’s home advantage could keep the scoreline respectable.
Let’s call it Spain 3 – 1 Switzerland
