Bournemouth are closing in on the signing of Morocco international Amine Adli from Bayer Leverkusen, with an agreement already in place between the player and the Premier League club.
Talks between Bournemouth and Leverkusen are at an advanced stage, according to Foot Mercato, with the deal expected to be finalised in the coming days. The 25-year-old winger, who came through the ranks at Toulouse before moving to Germany in 2021, has been keen to take on a new challenge this summer.
Adli has enjoyed a productive spell in the Bundesliga, contributing 23 goals and 24 assists in 142 appearances for Leverkusen. However, his playing time was curtailed last season after suffering a broken fibula, and competition for places has increased following the arrival of Ernest Poku for €12m.
Bournemouth have beaten Sunderland to the player’s signature, while Wolves and Marseille also showed interest. Leverkusen had reportedly set a price tag of around €30m. They are already looking at attacking reinforcements, with interest in Brighton’s Facundo Buonanotte and Monaco’s Maghnes Akliouche, moves that could further limit Adli’s opportunities.
