Marrakech – New developments have been uncovered by authorities in the shocking Ain Aouda incest scandal in El Menzeh territorial community, revealing that the 60-year-old father had not only allegedly raped his now 37-year-old daughter, but also sexually abused his grandchildren (who are his children as well).

The Court of Appeal in Rabat has placed the primary suspect in pre-trial detention at Tamesna prison. The alleged rapist’s daughter and victim, who reportedly bore six children from this relationship, has also been detained in the women’s wing of the prison.

According to converging reports, the investigating judge of the sixth chamber at the Rabat Court of Appeal ordered that a 16-year-old minor granddaughter be placed in a child protection center in Fez.

Authorities suspect she too was sexually abused by her grandfather, who is also her biological father. The placement decision was made to protect the girl due to her psychological state following the alleged abuse.

The tragic case came to light when a young man proposed marriage to the eldest granddaughter, born in 2005.

When she encountered obstacles obtaining the necessary documents for marriage, she filed a complaint against her grandfather and mother, revealing that she was born from an incestuous relationship between her mother and grandfather.

The daughter and mother claims she was first raped by her father when she was only 15 years old, beginning a pattern of abuse that would continue for decades. This sexual abuse resulted in her first child who is now 20 years old.

Yet, her testimony of continued abuse is even more disturbing. She alleges that her father later arranged for her to marry a man from the Oued Zem area through an informal “Fatiha” ceremony without legal documentation. During this period, she claims she was sexually exploited by both her father and husband simultaneously.

According to her testimony, she later had relationships with two other men, bearing a total of seven children. Only one child’s paternity has been legally established, leaving six children with unknown fathers. Her 20-year-old daughter has also accused her mother of forcing her into prostitution.

The woman said that she bore children in succession: the first daughter in 2005, a son in 2006, another daughter in 2007, a fourth child in 2008, another in 2009, and the last one in 2010.

The father has admitted to having sexual relations with his daughter but categorically denies any sexual abuse of his three granddaughters aged 20, 18, and 16, who may also be his biological daughters.

The wife of the primary suspect, born in 1953 and 13 years older than her husband, is being prosecuted for concealing the crime but remains free due to her health condition. She appeared at the Justice Palace in Riad district of Rabat walking with a cane.

Background investigations ordered by the public prosecutor revealed that the father himself is of unknown paternity and was adopted.

The case has placed local authorities in the village of Oulad Boutayeb in an embarrassing and potentially legally challenging position for failing to report the incest that began in 2005. The family is described as living in precarious social conditions.

The investigating judge is awaiting the results of genetic testing from the Royal Gendarmerie’s genetic analysis laboratory in Rabat. This follows claims by the daughter that she also had a relationship with another man from the Beni Khirane tribe near Oued Zem.

Biological samples have been taken from all parties involved. The DNA test results will be crucial in determining the paternity of the six children and establishing critical criminal responsibility in this multi-generational family tragedy.
