Mohammedia – Janngo Capital, a leading pan-African investment firm, has invested in Jobzyn, a Moroccan startup that uses artificial intelligence (AI) to transform the recruitment process. The platform combines automation, transparency, and AI to help companies find the right talent while helping candidates make better career decisions.

Recruiters in Africa often face a flood of applications, many of which are not relevant for the role. Jobzyn addresses this problem with AI tools that automatically direct candidates to the right job offers, highlight the most suitable profiles, and assess soft skills before the interview stage. This reduces wasted time for recruiters and improves the quality of hiring.

Candidates also benefit from Jobzyn’s transparency features. They can view employee video testimonials, office photos, salary information, and the management team’s strategic vision.

By making these details visible, Jobzyn helps ensure a stronger match between the candidate’s expectations and the company’s environment, which is particularly important for younger generations entering the workforce.

The investment by Janngo Capital focuses on  inclusion and accessibility in the job market, particularly for women and young people.

Only 3 million new jobs are created annually in Africa today. 20 to 30 million will be needed annually by 2050 to meet population growth. Women currently make up only 20% of the formal workforce in the region, and platforms like Jobzyn aim to improve this balance.

“Radical transparency and the effective use of technology can profoundly transform how talent and companies connect,” said Simo Zizi, CEO and Co-founder of Jobzyn. “With Janngo Capital’s support, we aim to make the job market more accessible, fair, and efficient across Africa.”

Janngo Capital, which manages Africa’s largest gender-equality-focused tech fund, invests up to €5 million in startups that create employment opportunities at scale, particularly for women and youth.

56% of its portfolio companies are women-led, and 67% are based in Francophone Africa. The fund supports startups across sectors such as health, logistics, e-commerce, mobility, and financial services.

Jobzyn has already attracted major companies, including Deloitte, PwC, Glovo, Maroc Telecom, Inwi, Intelcia, and TGCC, which use the platform to efficiently hire talent. It has also partnered with universities and higher education institutions, offering a white-label Career Centre solution.

Schools such as INSEA, ESI, HEM, and HEC Rabat now provide students with access to all job offers on a single platform, allowing them to track employment rates and salary levels after graduation.

The startup’s achievements were recently recognized with the EBRD Star Venture Award in December 2024, highlighting its national impact and potential to expand across the MENA region.

According to Fatoumata Bâ, Founder and Executive Chair of Janngo Capital, “Jobzyn combines transparency, technology, and inclusion to transform access to employment in Africa. Entrepreneurship is one of the most powerful engines for creating economic opportunities at scale, and Jobzyn is addressing a crucial challenge of integrating women into the workforce.”

With Janngo Capital’s investment, Jobzyn plans to accelerate its mission to make the recruitment process fairer, more transparent, and more efficient, helping both companies and candidates navigate Africa’s growing job market with AI-powered solutions.
