Rabat – FC Barcelona has announced closing the 2024–25 financial year with a net loss of €17 million. The team’s board of directors met today to approve the annual accounts for the fiscal year.
The financial statements also show an operating profit of €2 million, “achieving for the second consecutive year the club’s main economic objective,” according to the report.
“These results reflect the institution’s ongoing financial recovery, which is particularly noteworthy given the revenue limitations caused by the ongoing redevelopment of the new Spotify Camp Nou.”
The club justifies the 17 million losses due to the reduced income from the Spotify renovations, which led them to play for the second consecutive season at the Lluís Companys.
Looking ahead, Barcelona projects a €4 million net profit for the 2025–26 season. They expect stronger commercial revenues from sponsorship and merchandising, as well as the reopening of Camp Nou, to boost their earnings.
Barcelona posted a €91 million loss in 2023–24, but the club’s board members still approved Laporta’s management – with 452 votes in favor, 125 against, and 25 abstentions.
Barcelona expected their biggest revenue jump to come from the commercial side in 2024–25 for the recently concluded season, aiming to grow from €374 million in 2023-2024 to €446 million. This included a key sponsorship deal with Nike after months of talks
