Football legend Cristiano Ronaldo has officially joined the Bloomberg Billionaires Index with an estimated net worth of $1.4 billion. He is the first football player in history to become a billionaire.
The milestone comes after over two decades of top-level earnings, smart business moves, and a record-breaking contract with Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia. Bloomberg reports that Ronaldo has extended his deal with Al-Nassr until 2027 for over $400 million including salary, bonuses and image rights.
His annual base salary is $200 million with additional incentives for performance and trophies. The deal is tax-free which further accelerates his wealth.
The Portuguese icon also has an estimated 15% ownership stake in Al-Nassr which adds a long-term equity component to his earnings. Beyond his playing contract, his global appeal continues to bring in massive sponsorship deals.
According to Forbes, his football income and endorsements earned him $275 million in 2025 – more than any other athlete this year.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s expanding Billion-Dollar business empire
Off the pitch Ronaldo has built a huge business empire under his CR7 brand which includes:
- Pestana CR7 Lifestyle Hotels, a partnership with Pestana Group with properties in Madeira, Lisbon, Madrid, Marrakech and expanding to new cities.
- CR7 Fitness, a global gym franchise launched with Crunch Fitness.
- A successful clothing and fragrance line, alongside eyewear and footwear collections.
