Rabat – Royal Air Maroc (RAM) announced the cancellation of all flights to and from Brussels scheduled for October 14, due to a national day of action in Belgium that is expected to disrupt transportation and airport operations.
In a statement, the Moroccan national carrier said affected passengers are being offered three options.Â
They can reschedule their flights free of charge, subject to seat availability, for October 15, 16 or 17, either to or from Brussels.Â
Travelers may also choose to rebook free of charge via Paris Orly Airport on the same dates, noting that any difference in airport taxes will be the passenger’s responsibility if the destination changes.Â
A full refund to the original payment method is also available.
Royal Air Maroc urged travelers not to go to the airport and to contact their initial point of sale or the airline’s call center to confirm new travel arrangements or request reimbursement.
The airline’s decision follows warnings from Belgian unions about widespread participation in the strike, which is expected to paralyze public services and cause significant disruptions to air traffic across the country.
