Rabat – Ghizlane Chebbak continued her strong form in Saudi Arabia, scoring and assisting in Al Hilal’s 7–1 win over Al Taraji in the Saudi Women’s Cup Round of 16. The Moroccan international played a key role in securing the team’s spot in the quarter-finals.
Chebbak, 35, joined Al Hilal in August 2025 after a season with Levante Badalona in Spain. She previously spent over a decade with ASFAR in Morocco, winning 8 Moroccan league titles and captaining the side. She has also played for Wydad AC and Raja CA.
For Al Hilal, she wears number 7 and plays as a central forward. Her performances have helped the team climb to 2nd and stay unbeaten in the Saudi Women’s Premier League.
Chebbak has also scored or assisted in every match since joining.
Internationally, Chebbak has over 75 caps and 22 goals for Morocco. She led the national team to the final of the 2022 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations and played in the 2023 Women’s World Cup.
Her experience and leadership continue to make her one of Morocco’s most important players.
Chebbak’s performance demonstrates how Moroccan women’s football has made rapid progress in recent years.
The national team reached the final of the 2022 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations and qualified for the 2023 Women’s World Cup for the first time.
