The Atlas Cubs are aiming to reach the final for the first time in their history. Their best result came in 2005 when they finished fourth after losing to Nigeria and Brazil.

Coach Mohamed Ouahbi said his players are ready and motivated. Speaking to FIFA, he said: “The players know very well that they are not alone. They have the encouragement and support of an entire nation, and from the King. That’s what gives them their brilliance.”  “Inshallah, we’ll continue. We won’t stop here (at the semi-final).”

Ouahbi told the Moroccan FA: “It’s a match we’re eager to play. The group has been very calm since the quarter-final. We don’t want to stop here. We want more.”

“We’re preparing seriously, as we did for previous games. We’re ready for France — a team full of quality and experience — but we’ll stay humble.”

Morocco will be without defender Ali Maamar, suspended for yellow card accumulation.

Safest calls:

  • Morocco double chance (win or draw)
  • Under 2.5 goals
  • France to score first
