Rabat – AS FAR Rabat host Horoya AC today in the second leg of their CAF Champions League qualifier. The first leg ended 1–1 in Bamako, giving FAR a slight edge on away goals. The match will take place at Stade Prince Moulay Abdellah in Rabat. A win or a goalless draw will send FAR to the CAF Champions League group stage.

  • Venue: Stade Prince Moulay Abdellah, Rabat (Morocco)

FAR Rabat Team News

FAR Rabat head into the second leg nearly full strength. Midfielder Abdelfettah Hadraf is out with a shoulder injury, but left-back Tó Carneiro is back in training.

Coach Alexandre Santos will rely on captain Mohamed Rabie Hrimat, striker Hamza Khabba, who scored in the first leg, and Reda Slim up front. FAR are unbeaten in the last 9 games and they will look to qualify the third consecutive year to champions league

Horoya AC Team News

Horoya AC arrive as Guinea’s 2024–25 league champions. No new injuries have been reported, so coach Lappé Bangoura is expected to stick with the same lineup that drew 1–1 in Bamako.

Captain Salif Coulibaly anchors the defense, while winger Yakhouba Barry who assisted Horoya’s goal in the first leg adds creativity up front.

Away from home, Horoya will likely stay compact and look for chances on the counter or from set-pieces.

What to Expect

FAR Rabat will aim to dictate the pace with short passes and midfield control. Hrimat and Ayoub El Fahli will look to break lines, feeding runs from Slim and Khabba behind Horoya’s defense.

Horoya are expected to sit deep, stay compact, and strike on the counter or from set-pieces.

The midfield battle could decide the match. With home support at Stade Prince Moulay Abdellah, FAR will push, but Horoya’s discipline could keep it tight.

Safe Calls

  • Both Teams to Score: Yes. Both sides scored in the 1–1 first leg. With attacking options on both ends, another goal apiece is possible.
  • Under 2.5 Goals: Likely the first leg was tight, and with qualification on the line, expect a cautious, low-scoring game.
  • FAR Rabat to Win or Draw: Yes, FAR holds the away-goal edge. Even a draw sends them through.

Predicted Score: FAR Rabat 1–0 Horoya AC
