Paris Saint-Germain went top of Ligue 1 with a 3-0 win over Brest thanks to two first-half goals from Achraf Hakimi.
The Moroccan right-back scored in the 29th and 39th minutes to give PSG control of the match, played under heavy rain. Brest missed a penalty in the 59th minute before Desire Doue added a third for the visitors in stoppage time.

The victory moves PSG to 20 points, overtaking Marseille to take first place in the standings. Luis Enrique’s side continue their strong domestic and European form as they look to retain their dominance in France.
Hakimi’s brace were his first goals of the Ligue 1 season after eight appearances, five of them as a starter. His performance earned him the highest rating of the match at 8.3.
After scoring his second goal, Hakimi made a “choking” gesture – a celebration popularised by NBA legend Reggie Miller and recently used by players such as Tyrese Haliburton and Caitlin Clark.

PSG’s attack was fluid throughout, with Hakimi linking well with his teammates down the right flank. The win adds to PSG’s momentum ahead of their next Ligue 1 fixture against Lorient next Wednesday at Stade du Moustoir.
