Rabat – Royal Air Maroc is reportedly preparing to launch two direct routes connecting Casablanca to Boston and Los Angeles in 2026.

Moroccan news outlet Le360 quoted a “reliable source,” who said the new flights will launch in May next year, strengthening the company’s network in North America.

The same source said the direct route between Casablanca and Boston is in response to a high demand, given the strong Moroccan community in the American city.

“Both [American] cities will also serve as host venues for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, an event expected to attract a significant number of Moroccan fans traveling to support the national team throughout the tournament,” Le360 added.

Royal Air Maroc is expected to use its Boeing 787-8 Dreamliners to operate the new routes.

Last month, Morocco’s National Tourism Office (ONMT) and the National Tourism Federation (CNT) held a symposium to boost Morocco’s appeal to the American market and to help local tourism operators better understand how to perform.

In 2024, more than 400,000 US visitors chose Morocco as their travel destination. ONMT’s goal is to reach one million American tourists per year in the coming years.

In October, Delta Air Lines launched the first nonstop flight connecting Atlanta and Marrakech.

The new air route, which operates three times weekly, opens Morocco’s Marrakech to more than 125 US  destinations via Delta’s global hub in Atlanta.
