Rabat – ASFAR Women secured their place in the semifinals of the CAF Women’s Champions League for the fifth consecutive year after defeating Angola’s Primeiro de Agosto 2–0 on Saturday.

The match, played in the third round of the group stage, confirmed the Moroccan side’s dominance in Group A.

Najate Badri opened the scoring, while Safa Banouk added the second goal, giving ASFAR three valuable points. With this win, the team finished top of their group and advanced confidently to the knockout stage.

ASFAR began their campaign with a goalless draw against Egypt’s Misr El-Makasa, then followed up with a 2–0 victory over Mali’s USFAE before sealing qualification against the Angolan champions.

Their seven points from three matches underline their consistency and strength in continental competition.

ASFAR Women have now reached the semifinals of the CAF Women’s Champions League for the fifth time in a row since the competition began in 2021.

The Moroccan club has built a reputation for consistency and success, competing regularly at the top level and setting an example for other teams in Africa.

Their continued progress also shows how women’s football is growing in Morocco. ASFAR’s achievements have brought more attention to the sport both at home and across the continent.

With a squad full of experience and a strong winning spirit, the team remains a top contender for the championship as they aim for a second title after their 2022 title.
