Rabat – Jameel Motors global auto distributor has signed an agreement with Jiangling Motors Corporation (JMC) to distribute the Chinese automaker’s full range of light commercial vehicles in Morocco.

This represents a major expansion for both companies in the country’s fast-growing automotive market.

Jameel Motors won the distribution deal through a competitive bidding process that included both local and international companies, the company said today in a press statement.

The agreement expands the company’s portfolio in Morocco to include commercial vehicles, while giving JMC its first official market entry in the country.

“Morocco represents an attractive long-term opportunity for both automotive leaders, driven by a dynamic and fast-growing sector where new vehicle sales surged by over 35% year-on-year by end-September 2025,” said the statement.

Under the agreement, Jameel Motors will begin distributing JMC’s full line-up of Light Commercial Vehicles (LCVs), including pickups, cargo vans, commuter vans and light-duty trucks, starting in spring 2026.

This move builds on Jameel Motors’ 30 years of experience in Morocco and reinforces its commitment to offering advanced mobility solutions to customers and businesses, adds the statement.

Hasan Al-Alami, Senior Managing Director for the Middle East and Africa at Jameel Motors, said the collaboration reflects the company’s dedication to expanding mobility options in the region.

“Leveraging JMC’s nearly 80 years of expertise in light commercial vehicles, combined with our strong local presence and trusted reputation, we are confident this collaboration will unlock strong growth opportunities and contribute positively to Morocco’s dynamic automotive sector,” he stated.

Hu Yong, General Manager for the Middle East and Africa at JMC, said Morocco represents an “exciting new chapter” for the Chinese manufacturer. He noted that Jameel Motors’ strong local knowledge provides the ideal platform to introduce JMC vehicles to Moroccan customers. “We look forward to bringing reliable, innovative, and efficient vehicles that will support growth across the country,” he added.

Founded in 1947, JMC is one of China’s largest producers of light commercial vehicles. The company has joint ventures with global brands such as Isuzu and Ford, and sells its vehicles in more than 110 countries and regions.

Jameel Motors represents major commercial and passenger vehicle brands across more than 10 countries in the Middle East, Africa, Europe, Asia, and Australia.
