The CAF Women’s Champions League 2025 ended with another historic moment for Moroccan women’s football. AS FAR were crowned champions for the second time in their history. When the Technical Study Group announced the Team of the Tournament on 22 November, AS FAR dominated the list once again, showing the strength and consistency that took them back to the top of Africa. In total, 5 players and a coach made the Team of the Tournament list.
Khadija Er-Rmichi was one of the stars of the tournament. Goalkeeper of the Tournament after conceding just one goal, she proved once again why she’s one of Morocco’s most trusted players. Her decisive saves guided AS FAR through the tough moments and played a big role in their second continental title.
In defense, Zineb Redouani was excellent with her energy and determination on the right flank. At the back, Nouhaila Benzina used her experience to organize the defense and help the team build from the back with confidence. They were key to AS FAR being one of the most solid defenses in the competition which was an essential ingredient to being two-time champions.

More Moroccan presence in the Team of the Tournament
The midfield once again showed Morocco’s quality and identity. Zineb Erroudany controlled the tempo of the games, linking play with calm and maturity. Just in front of her, Najat Badri provided creativity, vision and smart passing that helped AS FAR impose itself on the big moments of the game. Their influence in midfield was one of the main reasons the team looked so balanced and composed during their title run.
Other talented players who completed the Team of the Tournament are Noura Diarra, Portia Boakye, Marlène Kasaj Yav, Hasnath Ubamba, Habibou Ouedraogo, and Ami Prisca Diallo.
AS FAR’s coach, Mohamed Amine Alioua, was also named Coach of the Tournament. His game plan was clear and effective: organized defense, patient build-up and smart use of key moments. Under his guidance, AS FAR played with confidence and unity.
Winning a second title confirmed their status at the top of African women’s football and also put them alongside Mamelodi Sundowns as the only two clubs with two titles in the history of the competition.
AS FAR women are now leading the way. Matching the record and having multiple players in the best of Africa is a big achievement for Morocco.
