Agadir – Princess Lalla Hasnaa chaired the annual diplomatic charity gala dinner on Sunday in Rabat, organized by the Diplomatic Foundation in partnership with the Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The event brought together prominent donors alongside members of the foreign diplomatic corps accredited to Morocco.
Over the years, the gala has become a major annual charitable gathering aimed at supporting underprivileged populations through coordinated action between the Diplomatic Foundation and foreign embassies in Rabat.
The gathering focused on a united mission of fundraising to support social projects across Morocco, which address child protection, improving the living conditions of women in rural areas, empowering young girls, and strengthening youth inclusion.
Ambassador of Saudi Arabia in Morocco, Sami Bin Abdullah Bin Othman Al-Saleh, remarked on Princess Lalla Hasnaa’s commitment to charitable initiatives, commending her dedication to humanitarian objectives.
He said that “on behalf of us all, our profound gratitude and sincere appreciation for the many forms of solidarity, kindness, and support,” pointing to the royal’s volunteering actions.
The Saudi ambassador also said that Morocco’s collaboration with the Saudi Embassy in hosting this event reflects the strong relations and the deep bond between the two countries across multiple sectors.
This relationship between the two nations, he added, is grounded in a long-standing shared history, advancing toward deeper strategic cooperation and establishing a lasting partnership that meets the aspirations of both counties.
Besides the cultural and religious bond connecting both nations, Saudi Arabia is considered one of the important investors in several sectors in Morocco, including tourism, energy and infrastructure.
Among other joint-judicial advancements in 2025, Morocco’s leading construction company TGCC entered Saudi Arabia last year, through a strategic partnership with Naif Alrajhi Investment. TGCC’s Middle East subsidiary now collaborates on major construction projects in one of the world’s largest construction markets.
For his part, Abdelati Habek, the President of the Diplomatic Foundation conveyed his deep appreciation to Lalla Hasnaa’s continued support stating that her presence is “a source of pride and honor for us all.” The president added that the princess’ humanitarian action is in “perfect harmony” with the progress of greater charitable field work led by King Mohammed VI.
Habek further commended the Moroccan monarch for his “unwavering commitment to supporting the poor and those in need.”
