Agadir – Stellantis and Attawfiq Microfinance have signed a strategic partnership designed to make electric vehicles more accessible to micro-entrepreneurs and very small businesses across Morocco.

The initiative focuses on deploying practical and accessible microcredit solutions tailored to working conditions, allowing professionals to finance the purchase of the Fiat Tris, a fully electric three-wheeled vehicle developed to support urban delivery and light logistics activities.

According to a statement from the BCP Group, “This collaboration aims to deploy a simple, accessible microcredit solution adapted to the realities on the ground.”

“Enabling the financing of the acquisition of the Fiat Tris, a 100% electric tricycle designed to meet the needs of urban delivery and light logistics. A concrete response to the challenges of sustainable professional mobility and economic competitiveness,” the group added.

The partnership relies heavily on Attawfiq Microfinance’s extensive national network, which includes more than 480 branches across Morocco. This strong regional presence allows the institution to reach entrepreneurs in both cities and rural areas, helping broaden access to financing solutions for the workforce.

Beyond financial inclusion, the initiative reflects a wider social and environmental ambition to accelerate the transition toward cleaner transport solutions while supporting inclusive entrepreneurship, strengthening economic independence, and generating long-term sustainable value.

“This partnership illustrates our commitment to supporting the evolution of mobility in Morocco, by combining technological innovation and social impact. With Attawfiq Microfinance, we offer a concrete, accessible and responsible solution for professionals,” said Yves Peyrot Des Gachons, Managing Director of Stellantis Morocco.

For his part, Hicham Kharrou, Managing Director of Attawfiq Microfinance, said that the partnership is “fully aligned” with his company’s mission.

“By facilitating the financing of Fiat Tris, we are empowering micro-entrepreneurs to adopt clean, efficient, and economically viable mobility. Our local presence allows us to extend this ambition to a national scale.”

The Fiat Tris is part of  a new generation of micromobility solutions. The compact, zero-emission vehicle is designed specifically for last-mile transport and professional use by couriers, artisans and small business workers. The model is produced within Stellantis’ industrial ecosystem, with established production in Morocco.

The car has around 90 kilometers of driving range and can be charged using standard electrical outlets, making it suitable for daily commercial use.

Through a combined focus of technological innovation with financial inclusion the hope is for Fiat Tris to help Moroccan micro-entrepreneurs modernize their operations while supporting the country’s transition toward cleaner and more sustainable transport solutions.
