Rabat – Mövenpick Mansour Eddahbi and the Palais des Festivals & Congrès (PFC) Marrakech have appointed Fahd Abdorabi as their new Chief Executive Officer, signaling a new phase in the city’s luxury hospitality and events sector.

Abdorabi brings extensive experience in high-end hospitality management across Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa.

His career includes pivotal roles in globally recognized properties such as Raffles Makkah Palace, the launch of Fairmont Taghazout Bay, and operational leadership during the FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar.

He has also overseen openings and transitions of Fairmont properties in Portugal and Spain, giving him a deep understanding of complex, high-profile operations with international reach.

This background positions him to guide Mövenpick Mansour Eddahbi and the PFC Marrakech toward a more cohesive, globally relevant offering, blending operational excellence with strategic market development.

CAP 2028

At the core of Abdorabi’s mandate is CAP 2028, a strategy designed to strengthen the synergy between hospitality, lifestyle experiences, and event hosting.

The vision is supported by AL AJIAL ASSETS SA, the property owner, and Accor, the operator, reflecting a shared commitment to sustainable, internationally recognized growth.

The goal is to create a seamless ecosystem where corporate events, entertainment, and social gatherings mutually reinforce one another while enhancing Marrakech’s positioning as a world-class destination.

The strategy emphasizes collaboration with stakeholders to foster innovation, flexibility, and adaptability in a rapidly evolving MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Exhibitions) and entertainment market.

By embedding the Palais des Festivals & Congrès within a broader lifestyle framework, the complex aims to attract both business and leisure audiences while maximizing the value of its integrated offerings.

M Square: The heart of lifestyle innovation

A centerpiece of this vision is M Square, a dynamic lifestyle hub within the Mövenpick Mansour Eddahbi.

M Square is designed as a destination for culinary experiences, wellness, selective shopping, and social interaction, featuring services like yoga and fitness programs and personalized concierge support through Clefs d’Or.

The concept positions M Square as a public-facing social destination, inviting locals and travelers alike to engage with the complex and experience its offerings in a lively, interactive environment.

Simultaneously, the Palais des Festivals & Congresses will expand its hybrid model, hosting corporate conventions, forums, and conferences alongside entertainment events, performances, and cultural festivals.

This dual approach allows the complex to serve diverse audiences while creating a natural flow between business and lifestyle experiences, enhancing the overall appeal of the destination.

Meeting global standards

Mövenpick, renowned for its high-touch, guest-centered service and environmentally conscious practices, is the most Green Globe-certified hotel brand globally, combining luxury with social and environmental responsibility.

Founded in Switzerland in 1973, Mövenpick has grown to operate over 90 hotels across 25 countries and forms part of Accor’s global network, which spans more than 5,000 hotels and 10,000 F&B outlets worldwide.

Under Fahd Abdorabi’s leadership, Mövenpick Mansour Eddahbi and PFC Marrakech are charting a course toward innovative, sustainable growth, with the ambition of creating a vibrant lifestyle and event destination at the heart of Marrakech.

By connecting hospitality, leisure, and business under a unified strategy, the complex aims to redefine the city’s luxury and event landscape for years to come.
